Add Anchor Links in Your Page

Anchors allow you to link to content within a page rather than just to the top of a page.

Note: The Existing Anchor dropdown menu shows only the anchors on the currently displayed text editor. This menu does not list the anchors from other pages or text editors. Follow these steps to create an anchor on a page and link to it from another page:

Create an Anchor

1. Go to the page where you want to create an anchor.

2. Select Settings from the Text element menu.

3. Select the text, picture or other item to serve as the anchor point.

4. Click the Hyperlink Manager button.

5. Click the Anchor tab.

6. In the ID field, enter the anchor ID or click the Generate ID button to the right of the field to generate an ID.

7. In the Name field, enter the name for the anchor.

8. Click the OK button.

9. If you are finished editing the content click the Update button.

10. Make note of the page name and the anchor name.

Create a Link to an Anchor

Links to anchors follow this format: http://yoursite.com/page-name#anchorname

1. Go to the page where you want to create a link to the anchor.

2. Roll over the Text element toolbar and select Settings from the dropdown menu.

3. Select the text, picture or other item that will serve as the link.

4. Click the Hyperlink Manager button.

5. If the anchor is on the same page as the link, click the Existing Anchor dropdown menu and select the anchor from the list. If the anchor is on a different page, then enter the URL to the anchor in this format: /page-name#anchorname.

6. Click the OK button.

7. If you are finished editing content, save the changes.

Note: The Existing Anchor dropdown menu shows only anchors for the text you are currently editing. It does not list anchors that are on other pages or text editors.
